2018 Partners in Advocacy Reception
Washington 211 and United Ways of the Pacific Northwest hosted the first ever Partners in Advocacy Reception at the Governor’s Mansion on Thursday, February 1st from 5:15 pm to 7:00 pm. Our guest was the Washington Low Income Housing Alliance who is advocating to expand affordable housing and ending homelessness. Read
The event was an opportunity to celebrate that day’s advocacy on some of our state’s most pressing needs with our partners – share our priorities to find solutions to homelessness and increase access to affordable housing – increase resources and quality in early learning programs – build financial stability – improve access to services through increased funding for 2-1-1 in 2019. Key state leaders, public officials, supporters and other partners were recognized in a short program.
We would like to thank our event sponsors Boeing, Deloitte, MultiCare, Creative House Branding and Center’s of Excellence for their support of this event. We would also like to thank Governor Jay Inslee and First Lady Trudi for sharing their home and for speaking at the event.
