The National Weather Service in Pendleton has issued a Flood Warning for urban areas and small streams for: rain and snowmelt in. Yakima County in south central Washington. Kittitas County in south central Washington.

Until 10:00 AM PST Thursday.
The ground is saturated from recent rainfall, and creeks and streams are running high. A warm front will bring rain this afternoon and evening, and rainfall amounts of one half to one inch can be expected for most of the warning area. This will cause flooding of nearby fields and roadways. Buildings that were threatened with flooding from rainfall last weekend may also be threatened again with flooding tonight.
Some locations that will experience flooding include: Yakima, Ellensburg, Sunnyside, Cle Elum, Toppenish, Selah. Union Gap, Wapato, Granger, Zillah, Kittitas, Tieton. Roslyn, Naches, Harrah, Donald, Liberty, Wiley City, Sawyer and Wymer.
Recommended actions
A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or has been reported. Stream rises will be slow and flash flooding is not expected. However, all interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. If flooding is observed act quickly. Move Up to higher ground to escape flood waters. Do not stay in areas subject to flooding when water begins rising.
